Automated Copper Separation from Metal Crusher Output
FGME, in collaboration with the company MENART (B), has developed the automatic separation of meatballs and transformators at the outlet of a metal crusher from the company SIRMET.
This installation separates the flow into two, one rich in copper and the other poor in mixed copper/ferrous residue.
The company SIRMET can thus fulfill its obligations towards steel customers with regard to the copper content of the scrap metal.
The separated fractions are controlled by hand-pickers at the end of the process.
